Two Individuals Accused Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Incident
Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a luggage theft where a believed to be pepper spray led to people being hurt at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and charges for administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.
This legal action stems from an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage taken after getting out of a car park lift, police said.
A young child was among those injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
The incident – described by police as was a standalone event and not considered a terror-related act – led to disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
