Accused Harasser Asked: 'But Imagine I Could Be Madeleine?'
A individual accused with pursuing Kate McCann reportedly deposited her a phone message which posed: "imagine I am Madeleine?"
The defendant, 24, who witnesses stated has persistently claimed she was the disappeared Madeleine McCann, and her co-defendant are facing charges charged with pursuing Kate and Gerry McCann between June 2022 and February this year.
On Monday, the court was told call records and data recovered from phones logged Ms Wandelt consistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a biological test throughout 2023 and 2024.
Madeleine's case in 2007 - at the age of three during a vacation in Portugal - is one of the most widely reported missing child cases and is still unresolved.
'I Am Not Seeking Money'
A separate recorded message, shared in court, captured Ms Wandelt declaring: "I realize I'm heavy and unattractive like Madeleine used to be, but I feel what I feel."
While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's voicemail expressed: "Imagine there is a tiny probability that I'm her? What happens next? Isn't that crucial for you?"
"I am not seeking money, I possess a life here in Poland, I just want to discover," the message continued.
The panel was informed that through electronic messages, mobile messages and communications, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, sent youth pictures to her phone in a effort to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and stated to have "recollections" from a childhood with the McCanns.
The investigator, an investigator with law enforcement who collated the information, advised the court there "didn't appear to be any answers" from Mrs McCann.
Ms Wandelt furthermore reached out to close associates of the McCanns, according to the call data.
On October 9th, 2024, the father answered a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "a wrong number."
During that incident Ms Wandelt left a recording on Mrs McCann's recording stating "I will persist and I plan to establish my point."
The court heard the co-defendant developed a association online with Ms Wandelt before joining her on a appearance to the McCanns' residence in the county in that winter.
Call logs showed Mrs Spragg had contacted through communication app to Mrs McCann to express the media had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she deserved to be taken seriously in the time leading up to the visit to Rothley, that area, in last December.
The court learned message exchanges between the two accused, in November 2024, considering attempting to acquire Mrs McCann's genetic material from her bins or from cutlery at a eating establishment.
"We have to take action," the co-defendant advised Ms Wandelt.
On the evening of the visit to their residence, the defendant dispatched a communication which stated: "We are positioned adjacent to the McCanns' residence with our vehicle dark like private investigators. I had hoped to do this with another person I never thought I would be doing that with the McCanns."
The proceedings continues.
